Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy has helped people to feel relief from stiff muscles by boosting blood circulation in the muscle and removing toxins, and can facilitate myofascial release, pain relief, skin improvement and lymph drainage, amongst other benefits.

It has existed for thousands of years and can be documented in the history of many countries. However, the oldest documentation of use is in Traditional Chinese Medicine. More recently, European and American doctors widely used cupping in practice into the late 1800's. The development and increase in technology and machines led to a slow decline of its use, taking it back to its more traditional roots.

Today the cups are made of glass, having evolved from originally being made of hollowed animal horns and then bamboo.

Cupping will cause temporary bruising. This is a perfectly normal part of the therapeutic process, and may last for up to 7-10 days.

Sessions are 60 minutes long and cost £50.
