Reiki

Reiki therapy allows the attuned practitioner to channel healing energy to the client, re-balancing any blockages that could lead to ill-health. The aim is to bring balance and harmony back to the client on a physical, spiritual and emotional level. The practitioner acts purely as a channel. It is the responsibility of the person receiving the treatments to accept the energy and to heal themselves - to take what they need from the treatment.

Reiki, pronounced ‘ray-kee’, means "universal life energy" in Japanese. It is the Japanese art of spiritual healing. It was rediscovered at the beginning of the 20th Century in Japan by Mikao Usui. During a meditation he was shown the path that he needed to take and the four symbols that he required to carry it out. On his way down the mountain he injured his foot and was able to heal it simply by placing his hands on it.

It is a deeply relaxing treatment. It helps to relieve stress and calm the mind and is a great tool for self-development.

Sessions are 60 minutes long and cost £50.
